Built around better movement, better understanding, and a more complete approach to golf performance.
SHAWN LIGHT, PGA
PGA PROFESSIONAL & MOVEMENT SPECIALIST
Shawn Light is an owner of Root Cause Resolution, located in Las Vegas, NV, and is a PGA Professional and movement specialist behind RC Golf Performance. He helps golfers move better, understand their bodies, and develop more efficient, athletic golf swings.
His coaching goes beyond traditional swing instruction by examining how each golfer moves, manages pressure, interacts with the ground, and sequences the body throughout the golf swing. Rather than forcing every player into the same swing model, Shawn develops an individualized approach based on the golfer’s anatomy, physical capabilities, movement patterns, and goals.
Shawn has been a PGA Professional since 2011 and has completed advanced education in golf performance, biomechanics, movement restoration, fitness, and power development. His credentials include TPI Golf Level 3, TPI Fitness Level 2, TPI Power Level 3, Multidimensional Movement Specialist Certification through MoveMethod, Functional & Golf Biomechanics, and Melt, Mold & Move Restoration Certification.
In 2018, Shawn was named the Southern Nevada Southwest Section PGA Teacher of the Year. Throughout his career, he has served as a Director of Instruction, golf course General Manager, and USA Junior National Team Coach.
Today, Shawn brings his experience in golf instruction, human movement, and biomechanics together through RC Golf Performance to help golfers build movement and swing patterns that support better performance on the course.
His long-term vision is to develop educational courses and a certification pathway for golf coaches, equipping them with a deeper understanding of human movement and a practical system they can use to help golfers around the world.
Every golfer moves differently, so every golfer should not be coached the same way.
At RC Golf Performance, the goal is to understand how your body moves, how you create and transfer force, and how those patterns influence your swing. From there, coaching becomes more specific, more efficient, and easier to apply.
Better golf isn’t built from the swing alone. It comes from developing the body, understanding movement, and learning how to apply those capabilities to the game.
RC Golf Performance brings those pieces together so golfers can become stronger, move with more freedom, understand their swing, and continue improving for years to come.
Whether you're looking for in-person coaching in Las Vegas, personalized virtual coaching, or a structured online program, there’s a way to start building a better-moving, better-performing golf game.
